Nigeria’s seaports have been deserted as protesters take to the streets nationwide to demand an end to economic hardship and bad governance.
The #EndBadGovernance protests, which began in major cities today, are expected to continue until August 15.
The protests are currently underway in cities like Lagos, Abuja, Kano, and Port Harcourt, among others. As a result, port users are exercising caution, and the usually bustling seaports are eerily quiet.

While a heavy security presence is noticeable at major ports, including Apapa, Tin Can, Onne, and Port Harcourt, operations have ground to a near halt.
