Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Dele Momodu, has voiced skepticism about the Bola Tinubu administration’s ability to improve the lives of Nigeria’s struggling masses.
The former presidential candidate and veteran journalist expressed his doubts during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, where he discussed the state of the nation and the current economic challenges.
Momodu stated that he sees no clear path forward for Nigeria, despite the government’s promises to bring about positive change.
According to DAILY POST, the Minister of Budget Planning, Atiku Bagudu, recently stated that the federal government is making concerted efforts to improve the country’s situation and change the narrative, with a focus on improving the living conditions of Nigerians.
However, Momodu expressed skepticism, noting that he has heard similar promises and optimistic statements from politicians many times before.

“I’ve lived long enough in this country called Nigeria. I’ve listened to all the sweet talks by politicians. I have yet to see the sign of that light at the end of the tunnel,” he said.
“But I’m not going to argue with them. I wish them the best of luck because I want Nigeria to be good. It’s not in my interest for Nigeria to collapse.’
