The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the appointment of Dr. Aminu Maida as the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC). The confirmation was announced on Thursday during the Committee of the Whole session.
The decision of the Senate follows the presentation and adoption of the report from the Committee on Communication. The report was presented by Chairman Bilbis Ikra, who represents the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara.
The confirmation of Dr. Maida marks a significant step in the leadership of the NCC, as the commission is tasked with overseeing the rapidly evolving telecommunications sector in Nigeria.
