Ireti Kingibe, the Labour Party senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, has disclosed the salary and monthly allowances paid to Nigerian lawmakers.
In an X Space conducted by Parallel Facts, Kingibe revealed that a senator’s salary is approximately N600,000, with allowances bringing the total monthly earnings to around N1.5 million.
She stated, “Senator’s salary is around N600, 000 and the allowances paid monthly rounds it up to N1.5 Million.”
Kingibe also stated her willingness to make her pay slip public for transparency. “I can still make open my pay slip for Obidients to see,” she added.
Additionally, she highlighted her commitment to various empowerment programs for residents of Abuja, emphasizing that her office is accessible and ready to serve the people.

“You don’t need to come to me or know me to get empowered, follow due process and my office is ready to serve you,” she asserted.
