Shettima Passes Responsibilities to Nigerians, Tasks Them with Innovative Ideas for Nigeria’s Future

Senator Kashim Shettima has urged Nigerians to spearhead innovation as a means to elevate Nigeria to global prominence. Addressing attendees at the third i-FAIR cohorts graduation ceremony in Abuja, Shettima emphasized the crucial role of innovation in realizing Nigeria’s aspirations on the world stage.

Represented by Mr Tope Fasua, Special Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs, Shettima commended the graduates for their contribution to the nation’s transformation agenda, highlighting the pivotal role of technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and machine learning in shaping the modern world.

The Ambassador of Israel to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, lauded the partnership between Israel and Nigeria, underscoring the significance of initiatives like i-FAIR in fostering innovation and resilience. He attributed the program’s success to collaborative efforts and highlighted its alignment with Chief Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, emphasized the innovative nature of the program, noting its aim to address domestic challenges with homegrown solutions. He hailed the collaboration between Israel and Nigeria as a testament to the country’s commitment to fostering innovation.

Dr. Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy, stressed the importance of prioritizing Nigeria’s transformation agenda for sustainable growth. He underscored the need for rapid deployment of fiber-active networks and emphasized the potential of AI in driving development.
