Soldier, 5 Passengers Murdered As Boko Haram Ambushes Military Escort

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked security cars that were following drivers on the Gwoza-Limankara-Uvaha road, killing one soldier and three civilians.

A security patrol van and four other commercial cars were also set on fire, so many passengers are still missing.

Local and security sources say the attack happened around 5 p.m., while troops and civilian JTF were watching over people going to Goza, Askira-Uba LGA in Borno, and the northern parts of Adamawa State.

“The GOC was where the attack happened.” In the attack, one soldier and five passengers were killed, and five cars, including a military van, were set on fire. He said, “We’re fortunate that the rebels freed the women passengers this evening.

According to Ali Ndume, a senator from Borno South, the attack happened on Saturday night. He also confirmed the event.

He said that the number of killings in the Goza area has been through the roof lately. “This happens every day.” For that reason, we want the military to go to where the insurgents are hiding because we all know where they are. “Farmers are afraid to go harvest their land, so it’s high time that the military leads the civilians who want to fight and gives them the tools they need to free the area,” Ndume said.
