The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has stated that President Bola Tinubu has carried out more projects for the people of the South East than previous presidents.
He emphasized that, in light of this, Tinubu deserves their full support in 2027 as a token of appreciation.
Umahi made these remarks on Monday while inspecting the ongoing rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Umuahia-Aba Section II of the 56.10 km Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.

He revealed that the road would be ready for inauguration by June 2025. Umahi further highlighted that Tinubu had allocated sufficient funds for the project in both the 2024 and 2025 budgets, and assured that the remaining 2 km of earthwork and 4 km of asphalt work would be completed by June, with the road set for inauguration thereafter.
