Omoyele Sowore and Bola Tinubu

Tinubu’s Boy, Sowore Planned Protest to Divert Attention from Genocide Against Christians — Social Commentator

A social commentator has accused Omoyele Sowore of being a political tool of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alleging that his recent protest was a ploy to divert attention from the global outcry over the alleged genocide against Christians in Nigeria.

In a post on X, @GeneralSnow_ criticised Sowore for allegedly exploiting public sentiment surrounding the detention of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to advance hidden political interests.

“The campaign for the release of Nnamdi Kanu does not mean protests. Ndigbo have no business protesting in Nigeria; they are waiting to k!ll you during protests,” he wrote.

He further argued that the protest achieved nothing meaningful and only endangered Kanu’s associates.

“He organised a protest and made so much noise about it. Now Kanu’s brother and lawyer have been arrested, while Sowore is walking free. He even visited them and came out—the organiser of the said protest. What exactly was achieved by the protest? Was Kanu released? No!”

Concluding his post, the commentator alleged that Sowore’s protest was strategically designed to divert global attention from the alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria.

“Sowore is a Tinubu boy. This whole protest was to divert attention from the global awareness of the genocide against Christians,” he added.
