Prominent investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, has taken a sharp swipe at the “Yoruba ronu” ideology in a controversial tweet while reacting to the impeachment of Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Hundeyin’ tweet on X, which labeled proponents of the ideology as “spineless cowards,” has ignited a heated conversation on social media.
He suggested that individuals aligned with the “Yoruba ronu” movement lack conviction and courage.
Referring to Obasa’s political trajectory, he predicted that the impeached speaker would not only shy away from taking a firm stand but would also go as far as prostrating to Seyi Tinubu, son of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for favors should he ascend to a gubernatorial position in the future.
