Human rights lawyer and activist, Inibehe Effiong, has strongly condemned Simon Ekpa following his arrest in Finland on terrorism charges.
Effiong, in a tweet, asserted that Ekpa must be held accountable for allegedly instigating violence and terrorism in Nigeria while residing abroad.
“You cannot stay in a foreign country and sponsor or instigate terrorism and killings in Nigeria,” he stated.
Effiong also expressed concern over the delay in Ekpa’s arrest, questioning why it took so long for Finnish authorities to act. “I wonder why it took so long for him to be taken into custody. Let’s hope that the Finnish government has done due diligence,” he added.
