Expressing grave concerns about the state of the judiciary and its alleged manipulation by influential politicians, Baba-Ahmed emphasised the need for citizens to stand up and protect the integrity of the constitution.

Baba-Ahmed was reacting to what he perceives as a failure of the judiciary to uphold the rule of law in the controversial victory of Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.

The Labour Party’s Vice Presidential Candidate stressed that unless Nigerians unite and take decisive action, no one else will deliver them from the current state of affairs.

He urged Nigerians to be vigilant, vocal, and resolute in their efforts to reclaim their nation, emphasising that no justice of the supreme court alone can safeguard the constitution and protect the rights of the people.

Baba-Ahmed’s impassioned plea serves as a wake-up call to Nigerians, encouraging them to actively participate in the democratic process and work together to restore justice and the rule of law in the country.

“They are in power for themselves, their egos, and not for Nigerians. The people have to wake up and defend their constitution. Nigerians are not ready to stand up for their rights.

“No justice in the Supreme Court will fight for the rights of Nigeria and the constitution. Nigerians own Nigeria. At any point in time, Nigerians can take back Nigeria. When the Nigerians are ready, Nigeria will be delivered,” Datti said.
