Nigerian activist Rinu Oduala has stated that calling a bullet from a police officer a ‘stray bullet’ is abnormal.
In a post on her official X handle, she maintained that bullet don’t stray.
According to her, when officers shoot, they shoot with intent, to maim, to kill.
Her words,”There is nothing like “stray bullet”. That’s the language of oppression to deflect blame from the shooter to the gun.

“Bullets don’t stray. When security officers shoot, they shoot with intent, to maim, to kill. Calling it a stray bullet is an anomaly.”
Her outburst comes following the tragic incident of a WAEC student who was shot dead by a stray bullet from a police officer in Ibadan while riding with his father to an examination venue.”
