In a shocking incident at Twins Fall Lodge, Ifite-Unizik, on Saturday morning, February 17th, 2024, a dispute over hostel cleaning escalated to a violent confrontation between two students, leaving one hospitalized and the other in police custody.
According to reports, the victim, identified as Mark, serving as the lodge President, was attacked by a fellow hostel mate, Chioma, purportedly over disagreements regarding the cleaning responsibilities within the hostel premises. Mark, a 300-level student in the Department of Agricultural Economics, reportedly sustained severe injuries and was promptly rushed to an undisclosed hospital for urgent medical attention.
Mark’s injuries, including burns from the scalding hot water and stab wounds, necessitated immediate medical intervention, prompting his admission to a nearby medical facility. The severity of his condition remains undisclosed at this time.

Subsequently, Chioma, a 200-level student at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, was apprehended by law enforcement officers and taken into custody for questioning.
