The residents of Suleja, a major commercial hub in Niger State, have joined their counterparts in Minna, the state capital, in protesting against the high cost of living and inflation in the country.
The protesters, who took to the streets on Wednesday, demanded that Bola Tinubu’s government should address the economic woes of the masses.
According to a witness report, the people of Suleja were fed up with the hardship they faced every day.
“They are calling on Tinubu to end the hardship the masses are suffering on the daily basis in the country,” the witness said.

On Monday, hundreds of men, women and youths in Minna also staged a similar protest against the rising inflation in the country.
They expressed their dissatisfaction with the hikes in the prices of gas and fuel in the country.
The protesters blocked major roads and chanted protest songs, while security agents including policemen watched them.
The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Yakubu Garba, acknowledged the plight of the people and assured them that the government is working to reduce the cost of living and the impact of the petrol subsidy removal. #Suleja
