Sunday Oliseh, the former head coach of the Super Eagles, has indicated his willingness to consider managing the team again if certain conditions are met.
Oliseh, who previously led the team from July 2015 to February 2016, had a tumultuous relationship with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) during his tenure.
Known for his clashes with senior players during his time as coach, the 49-year-old former Ajax star has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Jose Peseiro.

Speaking on Channels Television Sports, Oliseh stated, “Right now, what I can say is that I am going to put my wildcard on this question. As I have also often said, if Nigeria needs my services, I will always help my country if the right conditions are met.”
Following Peseiro’s departure after leading Nigeria to the Africa Cup of Nations final last month, the NFF announced the opening of applications for the position of national head coach.
The 63-year-old Portuguese coach left after reaching the tournament’s semi-finals, citing failed negotiations over salary.
Among the potential candidates, former Tanzania coach Emmanuel Amuneke has been strongly linked with the job.
The new coach will lead the team in crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers in June against South Africa and Benin.
Nigeria currently sits third in their World Cup qualifying group, with the overall winner earning automatic qualification for the tournament in the United States.
