Victor Osimhen believes the Super Eagles’ unwavering readiness is capable of dominating the African football scene once again.
The Nigerian striker, along with his teammates, is setting sights on securing a fourth championship as they prepare to kick off the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire next month.
Drawn into Group A, the Super Eagles are scheduled to face host nation Cote d’Ivoire, as well as Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.
After a surprising exit in the Round of 16 during the previous tournament in Cameroon, Osimhen, who plays for Napoli, emphasized the team’s determination to contend for the title this time around.

The stage is set for an intense competition, and the Super Eagles are eager to showcase their prowess and reclaim their status as one of Africa’s football powerhouses.
“We are ready and preparing very well,” Osimhen told CAF Media.
“The squad is in high spirits. We are raring to go and hope that we shall do well there.”
On January 14, 2024, Jose Peseiro’s team is set to take on Equatorial Guinea in the inaugural match at the Alhassan Quattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan.
