The Supreme Court of Nigeria has upheld the treasonable charge against Nnamdi Kanu, the prominent leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The judgement was delivered Friday morning by the apex court.
This ruling comes in the wake of a previous judgment by the court of appeal on October 13, 2022, which ordered the release of Mr. Kanu.

As reported by People’s Gazette, the three-member panel in the appellate unanimously rejected a 15-count terrorism charge that the government had filed against the IPOB leader in the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court.
