Suspense As Court Reserves Judgement In Kano Guber Election

The Court of Appeal, sitting in Abuja, has reserved its judgement in the appeal filed by Kano Governor, Abba Yusuf, who is contesting his removal by the State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.

It be recalled the tribunal invalidated Yusuf’s election on September 20, citing 165,663 votes as invalid due to unauthenticated ballot papers that lacked the signature or stamp of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Consequently, the tribunal declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Nasiru Gawuna, as the victor of the governorship election.
