Talk to Nigerian Youths to Ease Their Tension — Senator Ndume Suggests Tinubu to Prevent Planned Nationwide Protest

Senator Ali Ndume has called on Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu to engage with Nigerian youths to ease tensions and prevent the planned nationwide protest scheduled for August 1st.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Ndume emphasized the importance of dialogue to address the concerns of the protesters.

This call aligns with the stance of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), which has also urged Tinubu to engage with the protest leaders.

He stated,” My fear is, looking at what happened during the EndSARS. I hope it does not get out of hand, especially when you cannot identify the leadership, that makes it more difficult.

“I second the motion of the NLC president that Tinubu should listen to Nigerians. Tinubu should talk to the youth.”

NLC President Joe Ajaero issued a statement stressing that dismissing citizens’ struggles as “sponsored political dissent” is condescending.
