Telcos Deliberately Target Nigerians to Hinder Communication, Mobilization for Planned Protest—Sowore

Former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has alleged that telecommunication companies are deliberately targeting Nigerians to slow down their ability to communicate and mobilize for the planned protest on August 1.

In a post on his X handle on Monday, Sowore also alleged that the current fuel crisis in the country was introduced to stifle Nigerians planning to protest.

He emphasized that Nigerians are more determined than ever to end bad governance in the country.

He said: “FUEL CRISIS has been introduced to stifle Nigerias planning #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria

TELCOS – @MTNNG @GloWorld @AirtelNigeria are deliberately targeting Nigerians to slow down their ability to communicate and mobilize.

Nigerians are determined more than ever to #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria during the #DaysOfRage
#Nogoingback #RevolutionNow.”

This development follows plans by some Nigerians to mobilize for a nationwide protest scheduled from August 1 to August 10, 2024.
