The long awaited speech by Bola Tinubu over the #Endbadgovernance protest has been knitted with lies, report revealed.

n Tinubu has ignored the demands of the protesters and the suffering of the people of Nigeria and merely repeated the talking points of his government in the last 14 months.

A highlight of lies identified in his speech. Tinubu claimed to have heard the protesters “loud and clear”meanwhile there was no actions carried afterward as an indication that truly he heard something.

“He vowed to protect lives and properties, but under his watch, banditry and violence have persisted, with rising numbers of displaced persons and deteriorating conditions in affected areas.

Tinubu urged protesters to suspend demonstrations for dialogue, but previous negotiations with labor unions resulted in minimal wage increase with 300% increase in food and other essentials.

He promised that the law would address bigotry, despite having knowledge of those behind that and failing to act against those who supported such bigotry in the last election is a complete lie.

Tinubu criticized reliance on temporary solutions to solve long term problem, reason there is no progress in the nation. Sadly, he and his officials could not make temporary sacrifices for the good of Nigeria.

He reiterated old justifications for subsidy removal without clarity on the use of “saved” funds, leaving many questioning the lack of transparency regarding the impact on Nigerians.

Tinubu claimed states and local governments received record federal allocations, but the real value of these funds has significantly diminished over time.

He stated that debt servicing had decreased from 97% to 68% of revenue, but new loans suggest future debt servicing could exceed 100% of revenue.

Tinubu boasted about increased government revenue due to improved efficiency, yet his borrowing in one year surpasses what was accumulated over eight years under his predecessor.

He assured that the government cares for its citizens, but ongoing scandals involving high-profile officials have led many to question his sincerity and commitment.
