Terrorists Abduct Former NLC President in Kaduna

Mr. Takai Shamang, a former President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, has been abducted in his hometown of Biniki, located in the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident was confirmed by his daughter, Mrs. Grace Abbin, to NAN on Sunday.

She reported that her 78-year-old father was taken by gunmen from his residence in Biniki around 8 pm on Friday.

Shamang is the President and Founder of the Gantys Aid for Widows, Orphans and Needy Foundation, also known as GAWON Foundation.

Additionally, he served as the President General of the National Union of Electricity and Gas Workers, which is now the National Union of Electricity Employees, from 1982 to 1989.
