Reign of Terror Continues as Terrorists Kidnap 15 Women, One Man in Southern Kaduna Attack

Terrorists Kidnap 15 Women, One Man in Southern Kaduna Attack

Terrorists launched an attack on the Dogon-noma community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in the abduction of 15 women and one man.

The assault, which occurred on Saturday at 5:30 am, sent shockwaves through the village as terrorists stormed the area, firing indiscriminately.

According to Istifanus, a resident, the community was thrown into chaos as residents fled to neighbouring areas seeking refuge from the violence. Istifanus noted the difficulty in confirming the exact number of casualties due to the widespread panic and displacement caused by the attack.

“We can only confirm the figure by evening when we’re able to access the village. The attackers invaded the village at 5.30 am on Saturday in large numbers, shooting indiscriminately,” he said.

Former council boss, Cafra Caino, expressed concern over the recurring violence in the region, citing a previous attack in 2019 where 74 lives were tragically lost. He emphasized the urgent need for security measures to protect vulnerable communities like Dogon-noma.

Caino stated, “We are yet to get the number of casualties because the locals ran for their lives at the time the assailants invaded the community. The community had, sometime in 2019, come under heavy attack where 74 people were killed, and the community has recently been experiencing attacks.”

The police command’s response to the incident remains unavailable, as attempts to reach them for comment proved unsuccessful.
