Terrorists suspected to be kidnappers have abducted five women, including a pregnant woman and a nursing mother, in Erinmope-Ekiti, Moba Local Governmment Area of Ekiti State, and are demanding ₦100 million for their release.
The head of the affected family, Muhammad Saliu Okanlawon, said the assailants stormed their residence on Saturday evening and whisked away five female members of his household in the border community with Kwara State.
Okanlawon, a cattle dealer, explained that the victims are wives and children of his younger brother and son, identifying them as Kehinde Mahmud, Adijat Hussein, Hawawu Suleiman, Fatima and another Fatima.

He said the attack occurred around 7 p.m. when the gunmen invaded the house and fired sporadically, adding that the male members of the family were at the mosque at the time.
According to him, security agencies were alerted immediately and a joint team of the police, Civil Defence, Amotekun Corps and other operatives mobilised, but the kidnappers could not be tracked.
The family head disclosed that the abductors contacted them once to demand ₦100 million, noting that there has been no further communication since then.
He lamented that one of the victims is nine months pregnant and appealed to the government for urgent intervention, saying the ransom demand was far beyond the family’s means. #Terrorists
