Terrorists launched an attack on El-Rufai Estate in the Bwari Area Council of Abuja on Wednesday.
The assailants stormed the estate and began shooting sporadically, causing panic among residents.
During the attack, Nathaniel, a resident, was shot amidst the chaos. The gunmen engaged in a fierce 30-minute gun battle with the FCT Police Command.
Despite the intensity of the confrontation, the police successfully foiled the kidnappers’ attempt to abduct multiple residents.
Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer Josephine Adeh stated, “Yes, it is true.”
