In the dead of night on March 2, 2026, terrorists launched a terrifying midnight assault on Janjala village in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, leaving one resident seriously injured and abducting several others in yet another violent raid that has shaken the rural community.
The attackers struck around 12:30 a.m., storming the quiet village and opening fire indiscriminately.
Chaos erupted as bullets tore through homes and people scrambled for safety in the darkness.
Among the victims was 25-year-old Shamsu Adamu, who was shot in the stomach and rushed to safety by fellow residents.
Two locals, Yusuf Abdulwahab and Idris Ahmed, later brought him to the divisional police headquarters in Kagarko to report the horror and seek help.
While the exact number of those taken remains unclear, sources close to the incident confirm that several residents were forcibly marched away by the terrorists, likely heading into nearby forests where such groups often hide their captives.

No deaths were immediately reported from this specific attack, but the injury to Shamsu Adamu shows the brutal danger residents face even in their own homes.
Security forces, including a joint team, have since mobilised to pursue the terrorists and rescue the abducted villagers.
The operation is ongoing, but details on progress or any recoveries have not yet been released.
This latest incident adds to the mounting fear and frustration in Kaduna State, where rural communities continue to bear the brunt of repeated terrorist violence.
Just in recent months, similar raids have claimed lives, displaced families, and left many wondering when peace will finally return to their villages.
