Commissioner of Police Adebowale Lawal confirmed that, although the station suffered severe damage, no lives were lost. He also dismissed social media claims that a nearby church was attacked as false.

Lawal condemned the attack, describing it as a deliberate assault on public peace and security. He reassured residents that security agencies have the situation under control and urged them to remain calm and vigilant.

Additional tactical units, including Mobile Force teams, tactical squads, and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal-CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) unit, have been deployed to secure the area.
