On Sunday night, terrorists launched an assault on the Ambe community in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in six fatalities and eight injuries.

Confirming the incident, Kaduna Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, disclosed that one suspect has been apprehended in connection with the attack.

Upon receiving a distress call, both the police and troops of Operation Safe Haven swiftly responded, engaging the assailants in a gun battle.

One bandit was arrested, while others fled into the forest with gunshot wounds.

Daniel Amos, the representative of Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, corroborated the casualty figures and condemned the attack as an attempt to disrupt the peace and security in the constituency.

He assured that the injured individuals are receiving medical attention at the hospital.

Amos urged residents of Sanga Council to remain calm and cooperative as efforts are made to address the prevailing insecurity in the region.
