Terrorists Demand N3m Ransom to Release Abducted University Student in Ogun

Terrorists are demanding a ransom for the release of Christiana Idowu, a 300-level student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, who was abducted on August 19th along the Ikorodu-Yaba Road.

Christiana was on her way from her home in Itaoluwo, Ikorodu, to the University of Lagos, Yaba, where she was undergoing industrial training when she was kidnapped.

A family source, who preferred not to be mentioned, revealed on Monday that the abductors initially demanded N3 million for Christiana’s release.

It was gathered that the family, after several unsuccessful attempts to contact Christiana, was finally reached by the kidnappers using her phone.

Following desperate pleas from the family, the ransom was reduced from N3 million to N1 million, then to N500,000, and finally to N350,000.
