Terrorists Kill 4, Abduct Scores In Niger

Terrorists have attacked Pandogari in Niger State’s Rafi local government area again, killing four people and taking dozens of others hostage.

ParallelFacts According to what we know, terrorists struck the town and shot randomly to make people afraid before taking innocent people from the town.

Alfa Ibrahim, a member of the community, said that the attackers came through Makera Road and the highway that leads to the Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna State.

Ibrahim said that the robbers came on nine motorcycles, with two or three people on each one. They shot at people who were doing nothing wrong.

It wasn’t clear if the people in charge of security in the business suburb of Pandogari could stop them. However, it was proven that vigilantes fought back and beat them with more powerful guns.

So, the thieves killed three of the vigilantes with guns and shot another one.

“At 5 p.m., we heard that an attack was going to happen. There are four entrances to the community, but only one is under military protection. They didn’t use that one,” a second neighbor who asked not to be named said.

He said that the bandits came into the town on about nine motorcycles with two or three dangerously armed people on each. They shot randomly into the air.

Ahmed Suleiman Yumu, the state commissioner for humanitarian affairs and crisis management, confirmed the incident and said that contacts would be made to figure out how to help and what needs to be done.
