Suspected terrorists allegedly killed at least six individuals in the Kadarko community of Nasarawa State’s Keana Local Government Area.

Two residents were reportedly killed on Friday in the Tse-Abir Azer community, with an additional three Tiv farmers shot dead on Sunday.

United Farmers Association Chairman Denis Utsa confirmed the incident, stating that armed men attacked the Tse-Abir Azer area on Friday, causing chaos and casualties. Among the victims was Pastor Kingsley Orshase, who succumbed to injuries sustained during the assault.

He said, “The victims had gone for fishing at a nearby river in the Tse-Abir Azer area when the armed men attacked them, resulting to the death of two persons.

“However, we heard that one of the herdsmen was also killed in a reprisal during the attack.

“At the moment, the killer gunmen have invaded the IDPs rebuild settlements in Kadarko, and a dozen of the IDPs have fled to nearby communities, including Giza for refuge.

“We are appealing to the state government to urgently look into the matter so that we can have adequate security in the area.”

Despite attempts to reach the Nasarawa State Police Command for comment, no response was received from the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, at the time of this report.
