Newly Married Couple Abducted as Terrorists Raid Village in Zamfara

A group of terrorists on Sunday night, raided Madabanciya village in Bungudu local government area of Zamfara State, where they abducted a newlywed husband and wife.

Eyewitness Ibrahim Sani, a local resident, reported that the terrorists, numbering a significant amount, entered the village on foot around 11:45 pm, leaving their motorcycles outside the perimeter.

Upon arrival, they unleashed a wave of indiscriminate gunfire, instilling fear among the residents.

Sani revealed that the well-armed terrorists proceeded to systematically ransack houses in search of provisions and valuable items. The raid resulted in the theft of numerous animals, food supplies, and other valuables.

“In the process of combing through the village, they encountered a newlywed couple and forcibly took them into the nearby forest,” Sani recounted in an interview with Punch.

Expressing concern for the safety of the community, Sani urged authorities to swiftly deploy security personnel to the area. He warned that without prompt intervention, residents might be left with no choice but to consider relocating to alternative locations.
