Terrorists operating in Zamfara State have released a new video showcasing their members celebrating the recent Eid-el-Fitr festival in the Munhaye community of the state.
The revelation was made on Thursday by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, through a post on his official X handle.
The Eid-el-Fitr festival, marking the end of the one-month Ramadan fast, was observed by Muslims across Nigeria on Wednesday, in alignment with their counterparts in other countries.
The Federal Government of Nigeria had declared Tuesday and Wednesday as public holidays in recognition of the occasion. Additionally, the public holiday for the Eid-El-Fitr celebration was extended to Thursday.

The release of the video by the terrorists adds a concerning dimension to the security situation in Zamfara State, which has been grappling with armed banditry and other forms of criminal activities.
Authorities are yet to respond to the emergence of the video.
