Terrorists have launched yet another assault on Tsafe town, the administrative center of Tsafe local government area in Zamfara State.
During the attack, they incinerated two military vehicles and fatally wounded two members of the state security unit, Community Protection Guards (CPG).
Malam Usman Tsafe, a local source, reported that the assailants were armed with sophisticated weaponry.
According to Malam Usman, the bandits split into three groups, with one faction targeting the Zamfara State College of Health Science and Technology, as reported by Leadership.

The remaining groups entered the town, firing indiscriminately to facilitate the abduction of residents and students from the State College of Health Science and Technology.
“During the gun duel, two CPG operatives lost their lives, and two operational vehicles belonging to the military and Zamfara CPG were also set ablaze by the bandits,” he said.
However, he further stated that the rapid response from a collaborative unit comprising military, police, and CPG effectively foiled the bandits’ assault, compelling them to retreat into the forest with gunshot injuries.
