Suspected terrorists launched an attack on Kakin Dawa village, located in the Gidan Goga district of Maradun Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
Reports indicate that over 50 women and children were abducted during the assault.
A local resident revealed that the assailants, armed with sophisticated weapons, invaded the community around 1:30 am on Sunday, methodically moving from house to house.
“Everyone started running because the armed bandits have been targeting our village; later we discovered that more than 50 of our women were abducted,” he told DAILY POST.
Continuing, he noted that the abducted individuals included young girls and married women.

He called on the federal government and Zamfara State authorities to deploy additional military and security personnel to the region to confront the terrorists.
Attempts to obtain a response from the State Police Command spokesperson, ASP Yazid Abubakar, were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
