The Black Book: Nigeria Film Makes History,Becomes Global Hit

Nigeria-made Netflix film “The Black Book” achieved Global recognition as the Number one Hit movie on Netflix and also as the biggest Nigeria-Netflix film in history, the film has achieved all these since its release on 22nd of September 2023.

The director and Producer Editi Effiong confirmed this via his Twitter account. He shortly tweeted “Just got off a call with Netflix. #Theblackbook is a global Hit. The biggest film out of Nigeria on Netflix ever.”

The movie starred Richard Mofe Damijo, Ade Laoye, Sam Dede, Ireti Doyle, Shaffy Bello, and many others. Since its release on 22nd September, the movie has gone to hit the ground running, becoming the “biggest film ever” to have come out of Nigeria on Netflix.

The movie globally tops the chart of best movies in September, surpassing the likes of Spy Kid: Armageddon, Love at First Sight, Jaane Jaan, In Time, and many others.
