A video circulating on social media has sparked reactions after a man said he was offered ₦500 to show support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu during a public appearance.
In the now-viral clip posted on X (formerly Twitter) by user @omoelerinjare, the unidentified man openly admitted that he accepted to join the crowd welcoming Tinubu because of the monetary offer.
“How much did they give you to support Tinubu?” a voice behind the camera asked. With a wide smile, the man responded, “₦500.”
He appeared unbothered and amused by the situation, laughing cheerfully as he spoke.
The video has since drawn criticism online, with many Nigerians expressing outrage over the use of such small amounts to mobilize political support.
