Chief Bola Tinubu has emphasised the need for Nigerians to build a strong, united, and indivisible country as part of his administration’s vision for the future.
In a post shared on X, Tinubu highlighted his administration’s progress despite challenges, noting that while the journey has not been easy, undeniable progress has been made.
Tinubu referenced the presentation of the 2025 budget, which amounts to N49.7 trillion, delitoibubuvered to the National Assembly on December 18.
The proposed budget, titled “Budget of Restoration: Securing Peace, Rebuilding Prosperity,” is designed to foster national growth and prosperity, with a focus on creating a Nigeria where peace reigns, opportunities abound, and every citizen can thrive in safety.
“We have to move forward, not as individuals but as one united nation, determined to rewrite our story for the generations to come,” Tinubu stated.
During the presentation, Tinubu urged the country to move forward as a united nation, emphasizing that the time for lamentation is over. He called for greater investment in the private sector and expressed hope for a brighter future as part of the administration’s reform and transformation agenda.
Tinubu added, “The time for lamentation is over. This is a time to act. A time to support and promote greater investment in the private sector. A time for every Nigerian to look hopefully towards a brighter future because a new day has dawned for us as a nation.
“Together, we have embarked on a journey of transformation and reform, and while the road has not been easy, the progress we have made is undeniable.”

On December 19, the appropriation bill passed the second reading in both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
As of January 6, heads of ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) began defending their budget estimates before relevant committees of the National Assembly, with the budget expected to be passed by the end of January.
