‘Tinubu Directed Me To Unify Ondo State’ – Aiyedatiwa

Following a meeting in Lagos, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa revealed that Bola Tinubu has given him the task of unifying Ondo State and steering its development.

Aiyedatiwa, who was sworn in as governor following the demise of former governor Rotimi Akeredolu, visited Tinubu to brief him on recent developments and express gratitude for the unwavering support during the state’s critical moments.

Aiyedatiwa emphasized the significance of the meeting, stating, “I am here to see Mr. President to further brief him on the events that happened in our state, the loss of our governor, and to let him know that I have just been sworn in because there can never be a vacuum, being his former deputy.”

The governor shared Tinubu’s advice, indicating that he encouraged him to take charge and mobilize everyone for effective administration. “It was a paradox of mixed feelings. He commiserated with me and also wished me well, emphasizing that there cannot be a vacuum. One era ends and another begins, but it is within the same administration,” Aiyedatiwa explained.
