After Propaganda and Lies that NYSC Allowance Is Said to Have Increased to N77,000; Tinubu’s Government Pays Corps Members Only N33,000

Contrary to earlier reports that the Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu led federal government had approved an increase in National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members’ monthly allowance to ₦77,000, the government has continued to pay ₦33,000.

The alleged salary hike was expected to take effect from July 2024, following the signing of the new minimum wage bill by Bola Tinubu in late July.

The bill, which raised the national minimum wage from ₦30,000 to ₦70,000, was anticipated to reflect in the allowances of NYSC members.
