Tinubu Government Won’t Let You Down; Hardship Is Temporary – Minister Assures Nigerians

The Minister of Information, Alhaji Muhammed Idris, assured Nigerians on Thursday that the Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government is committed to alleviating the current hardships faced by citizens.

Speaking at a town hall meeting in Ado-Ekiti, Idris, represented by Mrs. Omotola Yemisi of the Federal Information and Resource Centre in Ekiti, emphasised that the government is addressing the welfare of its citizens with utmost seriousness.

He acknowledged the challenges posed by the removal of the fuel subsidy but promised that these difficulties are temporary.

He stated, “We recognize that the removal of the fuel subsidy presents both challenges and opportunities.

“We shall explore ways to mitigate the impact of this policy change on our citizens and also ensure that the benefits of such decisions are equitably distributed.

“Be assured that our goal is to create an enabling environment that supports economic growth and development by tapping into all available social schemes,” he added.

Idris highlighted the importance of engaging with the public to ensure that government interventions effectively reach all Nigerians. He outlined the administration’s efforts to mitigate the impacts of policy changes and distribute benefits equitably.

I’m her address, Mrs. Famuyiwa Olawumi, Director-General of the Ekiti Bureau of Civic Orientation, encouraged citizens to be patient and cooperative as the government’s policies unfold.

Meanwhile, Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun, represented by Dr. Yusuf Habibat, expressed appreciation for the federal interventions in Ekiti and affirmed the state’s continued support for the Tinubu administration.
