The chief spokesperson of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (LP-PCC), Dr. Yunusa Tanko, has criticized the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration, alleging that its policies since assuming office in May have caused hardship for Nigerians.

Tanko made this revelation in a recent interview with the Nigerian Tribune, stating that Nigerians have been faring poorly since Tinubu came on board.

He expressed concern over what he perceives as a lack of true leadership principles, stating that the government seems to rule with impunity and disregard for governance.

He asserted that the administration’s actions are bringing pain to the people, and he criticized the perceived influence of power over institutions such as the judiciary and INEC.

Tanko emphasized the importance of these institutions remaining accountable to the people rather than the government officeholders.

The chief spokesperson stated, “I don’t think they do. What we have seen them do is to rule the country with so much impunity as they believe they now have the power and can do whatever they like.

“And this is exactly telling of the way they are running the government, which is bringing pain to the people. And this greatly negates the principles of leadership,” he emphasized.

“So it seems to me like they don’t even understand the word ‘Governance’. They feel that as long as you can buy out your way, you can use force to do anything.

“Unfortunately for Nigerians, our judiciary has been bought over. The INEC has also been bought over. The only institution we can see now is the military. Most of these institutions do not know that they are responsible to the people and not the government officeholders, he disclosed. #Tinubu
