Abisoye Oshodi, also known as Balogun Eko, a prominent Yoruba chief in Lagos, criticized Chief Bola Tinubu regarding the nation’s economic state and security issues on Wednesday.
Oshodi labeled the current state of affairs as disgraceful to Tinubu’s ethnic group.
Known for his outspoken political views on Instagram, Oshodi remarked on Friday that Tinubu‘s leadership remains a political setback for the Yoruba people.
He stated, “This presidency is becoming an embarrassment for the Yoruba people,” while also criticizing Tinubu’s close aides as incompetents who couldn’t advise him right.
Mr. Oshodi lamented that Nigerians were enduring widespread hunger, criticizing Tinubu’s close aides as “ball boys” who prioritize personal ambitions and wealth over speaking the truth to Tinubu.

‘‘The people you have surrounded yourself with don’t seem to me to have brains,” he said.
He added, “Your Excellency, if you listen to the groaning of Nigerians, there is widespread hunger. The ball boys in Abuja will not be able to tell you the truth.”
Mr. Oshodi emphasized that time was ticking away, stressing the importance for Mr. Tinubu’s administration delivering results that would bring pride to the Yoruba people.
“As you said, it was Yoruba’s turn, don’t use your tenure to disgrace us,” Mr Oshodi said in the Instagram video.
The latest criticism directed at Tinubu comes from the chief’s outburst.
Fuji singer Wasiu Ayinde has recently implored the former Lagos State Governor to intensify efforts in addressing poverty, unemployment, economic crisis, and the depreciation of the naira.
