The Special Adviser to Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has defended the devastating fall of Tinubu during the democracy day event held at Eagle Square in Abuja.
Earlier, Parallel Facts reported that Tinubu tripped and fell while attempting to board the parade vehicle at the 2024 Democracy Day event.
Tinubu was swiftly assisted by his security details and quickly regained his composure.
The incident occurred shortly after his arrival at Eagle Square in Abuja, the venue for the celebration.
Confirming the incident, Segun Dada, the Special Assistant on social media to Tinubu, stated that despite the slip, Tinubu quickly regained his balance and proceeded with the day’s events.

He said, “Tinubu missed his step while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped. It was a mild misstep. He immediately went on with the ceremonial rounds. No issues.”
However, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, posted on his X platform on Wednesday, noting that Tinubu is not a Superman.
Onanuga emphasized Tinubu is human, pointing out that other leaders have also experienced similar slips in the past.
“Tinubu is not a Superman. He is human like all of us. President Biden has had several slips in the last three years. Even the younger Barack Obama slipped while President. Political leaders are human. Slipping should not detract from the import of Democracy Day celebration,” he said.
