JUST IN: Ignoring Nigerians’ Outcry, Tinubu Raises Fuel Price Again to N1,025 in Lagos, N1,060 in Abuja

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), under the administration of Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has increased the pump price of petrol to N1,025 per litre in Lagos and N1,060 per litre in Abuja, heightening concerns amid Nigeria’s ongoing economic difficulties.

This new price adjustment was displayed on Tuesday at various NNPCL stations in both cities.

In October, fuel prices at NNPCL outlets stood at N1,030 in Abuja and N998 in Lagos, while other petrol stations sold fuel at rates between N1,150 and N1,200 per litre.

This latest price hike follows the economic challenges many Nigerians face, driven by rising costs and the removal of fuel subsidies by the Tinubu administration, which saw fuel prices increase from N145 per litre before May 2023 to over N1,000 per litre.

This rise in fuel costs has led many Nigerians to express frustration, even dubbing Chief Tinubu “T-Pain,” in reference to the growing economic strain.
