Tinubu Returns to Nigeria After 13 Days of Private Visit to France

The former Lagos State governor and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, arrived in Nigeria on Tuesday night after a private visit to France. 

He was welcomed by some of his appointees and other high-ranking officials at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

According to a statement issued by his media office on January 24, Mr Tinubu was expected to be back in the country in the “first week of February”. 

The statement did not disclose the purpose of his visit to France, but said he would use the opportunity to rest and reflect on national issues.

A video of his arrival showed him exchanging pleasantries with the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, among others.
