First Year in Office: With Nothing to Show, Bola Tinubu Spent 86 Days on Foreign Trips

In a recent analysis report by Statisence, Bola Tinubu’s foreign travels in the past one year have come under scrutiny.

According to the data, in 2023, Tinubu spent a total of 50 days abroad.

From France to the United States, his travels covered various countries, totalling almost two months away from home.

In 2024, the trend continued with more globetrotting, spending a total of 36 days abroad.

Tinubu’s itinerary included destinations like France, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, among others. But despite spending significant time abroad, there’s little evidence of tangible achievements for Nigeria.

Nigerians have raised concerns about the value of these travels. While international engagements can be beneficial for diplomatic relations and economic opportunities, it’s essential to ensure they yield meaningful results for the country.

Critics argue that Tinubu’s frequent trips abroad raise questions about his priorities and commitments to Nigeria.

As the nation grapples with various challenges, including economic issues and security concerns, citizens expect their leaders to focus on addressing domestic issues first and foremost.
