Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Enugu State on Saturday for a one-day official visit.
Tinubu, who landed at Akanu Ibiam International Airport at 1:25 PM dressed in traditional Igbo attire (Ishiagu) with a red cap, was received by Governor Peter Mbah and other dignitaries, including Governors Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Alex Otti (Abia), Anambra’s Deputy Governor, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, and former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim.
The visit comes after Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for labour party suggested on an AIT program that Tinubu should spend 20% of 2025 (equivalent to 72 days) visiting states, spending two days in each, to gain firsthand insights into the country’s challenges.
Tinubu was accompanied by National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, and other top officials.
