Tottenham vs Liverpool: Darren England To Secure Job Despite VAR Blunder

Darren England has kept his job as a Premier League referee after his huge VAR error during Tottenham’s chaotic clash with Liverpool on Saturday.

Although he was suspended from officiating Liverpool matches this season, but pardoned by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL).

The official faced harsh criticism for his officiating during the match on Saturday in North London, no thanks to Darren’s “significant human error” that overturned Luis Diaz’s goal.

Jurgen Klopp insisted that the game should be replayed, and the error has been the topic of discussion in the football world in recent days, subjecting VAR to scrutiny.

The PGMOL has also withdrawn Darren England and Dan Cook, who served as the assistant VAR for the Tottenham vs. Liverpool game, from this weekend’s fixtures.

The Chief Refereeing Officer of the PGMOL, Howard Webb, has full support in Darren who won’t be sacked from his duty, according to The Telegraph.
