Popular Nigerian singer, Simi, has offered advice to parents on raising their daughters.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, the singer emphasized the importance of teaching girls to take control of their financial futures and not rely on others for support.
Simi criticized the idea of parents hoping for wealthy husbands for their daughters, encouraging them instead to raise independent girls who are not dependent on men.
Popular Nigerian songstress, Simi has advised parents on how to train the girl child.

While frowning at the notion of some parents praying for a wealthy man to marry their daughters, Simi urged parents to nurture the girl child not to be dependent on men.

“Parents raise your daughters to be self sufficient and not to think that when they grow up, all they have to do is rely on someone to take care of them.
“There is security in being independent. A woman’s economic power is in fending for herself and being able to confidently acknowledge that she’s a complete person. Let them know that you are standing strong,” she said.
